Southwestern Ontario is home to hundreds of varieties of spiders. Although only a few are venomous enough to be really concerned about, many people are still frightened of them. Most spiders are harmless and are content to live outdoors. Despite the fact that many varieties of spider actually benefit the environment by helping to control the insect population, spiders are still considered a nuisance when they venture indoors. After all, no one wants to worry about walking into a web or think about a spider crawling on them.
